Catalina Trans-Trail

It should be fine, a little on the cool side (for Southern California).

I'd love to see a post-trip report for this once you're done! Once we move back to SoCal in a few months, I want to give this a go.

Fall is the ideal time for hiking in coastal California. That said my experience is with central and northern coastal California.

Rain is a definite possibility in late November. keep am eye on the forecast.

I went last January… spectacular weather. This year it could rain. Normally probably not, but they are talking about an El Nino.

Great idea! We do it every January for the last 6 years. Great getaway. A little marine layer or sprinkle will probably be welcome and make the bison frisky!

I'm thinking of doing it sometime this month too. I've been wanting to do it for a while.

Some rain while hiking up those steep exposed ridge trails would be a welcome way to cool off. It got into the mid-high 80's when I did it in February a few years ago.
