Hello, I want to do the Catalina trail in the week of thanksgiving. Is this a good time frame? Is it cold, rainy during that time of the year?

I'd love to see a post-trip report for this once you're done! Once we move back to SoCal in a few months, I want to give this a go.

Fall is the ideal time for hiking in coastal California. That said my experience is with central and northern coastal California.

I went last January… spectacular weather. This year it could rain. Normally probably not, but they are talking about an El Nino.

Great idea! We do it every January for the last 6 years. Great getaway. A little marine layer or sprinkle will probably be welcome and make the bison frisky!
