Cuben…bonded not sewn. Come on, this is BPL :)

i've been using an xpac wallet that i made a couple of years ago. The corners definitely show some wear but it's not falling apart in the slightest. tyvek is not a very durable material in terms of abrasion resistance. you're better off using a different material that is woven unlike tyvek which is bonded.

I've been using a ziploc bag. Use "seal-a-meal" to make the desired size.

I used to transfer contents to my regular wallet after trip, but now I just use it all the time

I have to make a new one twice a year

I also have tape holding my glasses together (just kidding : )

Tyvek, sealed with and entirely covered with package sealing tape lasts a long time for me. I have two versions:

Very small, credit-card-sized for BPing.

Normal wallet sized, with extra pockets for cards, populated with a few business cards, expired credit cards, and $20-40 bucks. Carried in tourist areas and dodgy neighborhoods to carry a transit pass and pay for ice cream, etc. So if I am pick pocketed or robbed, I don't care about losing of it.

Or the reverse – the tyvek one with my ID, real CC, and the $100s tucked in a front pocket, while my regular leather wallet with nothing of great value in it is in its usual place and pulled out in public for small purchases.

I have an xpac wallet made from Lawson Equipment. The material is thin light and tough. After use there's some fraying on the edges but looks to be the thread and not the fabric. Awesome piece of gear. I use it in the backcountry and EDC before I had a Faler brand leather wallet made.

My EDC 'Wallet' is a very simple sleeve of bonded 1.0 oz Cuben fiber. Fits about 5 cards and 3-4 bills. It's held up great for over a year now. Weighs a couple of grams.

I've been pretty happy with my HMG black cuben wallet, the polyester layer has worn off on the corners if you look closely. I've had it around a year of with daily use.

Not exactly sure what cuben variant it is, if its the same black cuben as the HMG packs it could be '150D Cuben/Polyester'.

I find the tyvek wallets last a year then got to relearn to make a new one. I'm almost due.
before bpl I always had to much bulk in my plump leather wallet, sometimes now I think I forgot my wallet because it is so stealthy.
