Nice! Amazingly low snow year. Everything's two months early. Normal season is maybe 2 months. This year doubled to 4 months?

That was north eastern Switzerland, Appenzell region, Alpstein range. An hour and a half train ride from my hometown ( plus hiking in).
Packed at the moment, ready to head out to the central alps, cantons Uri and Schwyz. Two hour train ride from here.
We are having a heat wave, with high humidity too…should be getting up to 95 in a day or so.

I came back this afternoon from my second trip, in time for a shower and then dinner with another cousin at her house. I am off in the morning to a house my family owns in the Bernese Alps. From there I will take off for another trip.

My current adventure is coming to an end. Honestly so much happened that it seems I have been here for much longer than I have.
It has been wonderful and trying and scary at times. I have hiked more challenging terrain than ever before and solo. I chose areas that are not visited by tourists, but one would hardly see any after hiking up for any length anyway. I will work on trip reports after I settle back in.
So many pictures….the better ones still in my camera. I took a few with my phone too.
