Am I losing it. :O 600ms 800fp down 20d fabric 380g fill and 100$ hello amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00XE3C4M2/ref=pd_aw_sbs_468_26?refRID=0EA33EK26RXPRMRPAN1B#productDescription_secondary_view_pageState_1433144025441

Edit. I ordered this one, couldn't resist. 440gms 230gms fill. What looks like high quality 20d fabric. For 85$!? It would have cost me 50 in down and 20 in fabric. Sure I'll pay 15$! Only con I can see is sewn thru baffles and a gosh ugly yellow zipper. But I see that coming off. Not bad for a summer quilt I have my fingers crossed

I've seen these online – please let us know dimensions, weight, and of course quality!

Will do Todd! I'm really hopefully. Maybe too much so, but the specs look great. I'm hoping or 14.5 oz without stuff sack and zipper. For hopefully a 40 degree bag. Fingers crossed

Looks like it could be a good find. Quality is suspect, and I saw a thread from 2012 that discussed non-breathability of the fabric, but for the price, it could still be a good deal. If you end up liking it, I might try the 19oz (10oz down) rectangular bag that fully opens and use it as a winter over 'quilt'. At that price, you wouldn't have to worry about babying it.

Its listed at 185 cm (72") long, equivalent to a "short" in the other manufacturers sizes. Even if its too short to use as a traditional bag, I could definitely find uses for it if it turns out to be of reasonable quality.

Glad to see some interest. My goal for it is a real light down quilt to use In mild weather with the pup. I have a husky who loves to "cuddle". But doesn't understand her size or realize how offer she walks over stuff. That way I'm not fearing for a few hundred dollar quilt. Good call on the shorter then normal bag size. I think that it will work well as a quilt though. I intend to do away with the zipper. And maybe narrow the fabric on the sides a bit leaving all the Down. I should be recieving it mid- end of this month. Gotta love Chinese shipping time

If you use Chrome, just load the page then right click.
A window will pop up with the Translate To English option.
The translation is good enough.

Well guys it came In yesterday. First impressions, wow this thing packs small. The stuff sack is about the size of a nalgene. And thats uncompressed I weighed it at 15oz on the dot without the stuff sack. Fabric seems good quality. The outer fabric is glossy and has a pretty good DWR from my sink test. The inner is Matte and I don't be think it has a DWR haven't Tried the inside yet. Size is good for my 5'8 140 size. Pretty room for me even zipped. Seems about normal size maybe a tad shorter then most us bags. I used it last night unzipped as a quilt. Cut is good. Fabric is Comfy and seems to breathe well. Loft is about 1.5 inches. Seems like a solid 40 degree quilt. Overall very happy

Grey 20d rectangle with full zip is my favorite one probably.

It is the rectangle one and you could customize it by sewing the footbox. It would shave a lot of weight and matrial by off by doing a half taper and cutting off the zipper.

For $95 it semi like a good deal for a 800 fpdown and decent fabric. End result might be as low as 13 ounces.

But honestly just spend $220 instead of $95 and buy a super high quality WITH BAFFLES ee.com enigma. It is mugh warmer and supporting usa cottage for only $120 more. But bother are good deals.

Hi guys. I own and use this bag. I am 6'2", 160lbs and it fits like a glove… maybe a little room to spare. I have used it in nights that have gotten down into the low 40s if not high 30s and have been fine. Although, I was sleeping with my Cap 3s on. The first night I used it I blew out a seam on one of the compartments about 1" long. I put some moleskin over it and it has been fine- I only lost a few feathers. If they baffled this bag in any way at all it would make it totally awesome. That is the only downside.

I also own the super light tent that some of you may be familiar with if you have done your research. It is super duper light and after a couple of mods is a great tent. The first time I used it was during a super intense wind and rain storm and I had never even set it up to test it out (dumb). It kept me dry after getting it up. The labeling completely washed off (what?) and the seam tape partially came off. Before I went out last time I purchased Ti stakes (keeping a few of the old ones as you can really set this sucker up with more than the min number of stakes) and pulled off the seam tape and re-sealed it with actual sealer. This last time I used it everything was excellent. Truly a great tent for $100.

I think, together, with the bag and the tent, that I am at or under 3 lbs. A great improvement over my Kelty Ignite 20 and Sierra Designs Light Year. Although, the later being much more robust pieces of gear.

It is an incredible deal. Its lightweight, cheap, and down is the best!

You cant even hardly buy several ounces of down, and UL fabric for the $100 range to do your own DIY bag. I did my first DIY bag, I bought 10oz of down and pertex from Zpacks! I think it was around $80 or more for all materials, shipped maybe more.

BUT I had to pay someone to sew it! Because I am a NOOBIE at it and didnt want to F*$& it up, so I paid like $80 on top! IF I WERE in the market again for a high quality down sub 1 pound bag I would get one in this thread. People who buy the cheap small highly comporessible synthetic bags at sporting goods stores think they are getting a good bag, but those cheap thin synthetic bags are very cold and will wear out quickly. Them getting a cheap cheap down bag like this one in this thread would be a MUCH wiser choice. Down bags never wear out and dont go out of style, and are always worth keeping, you never throw one away.

This one seems solidly sewed and looks pretty nice. Someone mentioned the fabric not being very breathable. I dont think its a big negative, it probably makes it warmer than a more airy fabric.

I ordered one two weeks ago and it landed on my doorstep today.

The package was a little beaten up , but someone triple bagged it –odiously thy have had this experience before.

After fighting off a ton of packing tape her are my initial impressions.

1. Its come compressed and very carefully packed.

2. Its small. And a bit thin. I question how warm it will be. (given we have 20 days of 100 degree runs here in Texas it may be a while before I can backyard test it.

3. The tag on it is for the Japanese market. 893 Yen.

4. It comes with a very nice storage sack. Very nice quality.

5. The fit and finish seem very good.

6. Compression sack is very impressive.

7. Smells like down. No weird odors.

8. Zipper is smooth

Looks promising.

I got one in the mail a couple of weeks ago, looking pretty much like yours. I've been using it as a quilt at home since then with the bottom foot or so zipped up; I'm recovering from disk injury and it's easier to maneuver under it than my sheets and bedspread, especially when I'm trying to get a couple of pillows under my knees in the middle of the night.

It is pretty light in terms of warmth, but it's a relatively cheap option for warm weather sleeping, and we may even use it as a double quilt if we do warmer trips together, or car camping in Hawaii or the like…though it's not quite as wide as I'd like for two when completely unzipped.

It seems reasonably well sewn, no obvious flaws in stitching so far as I can tell. It did smell pretty poultry-like when it first arrived (but then so did my EE quilt, to a lesser degree, so I'm probably just more sensitive to that smell than most). I put it outside for a couple of days, and the smell is mostly gone now.

When something says “95% 800-fill goose down” I sort of have to wonder what the other 5% is. Asbestos? :)
