Do you have any plans for a one-man refuge tent?
Converting a 2 man tent to a one man tent is always tricky and in my experience not too effective. Downsizing it won't have a significant impact on the weight or cost.
It'll probably use as much raw material to construct, you'll just end up with more waste. Which isn't too good for the environment. Assembly cost won't be any cheaper, so the actual cost of the tent is roughly the same for both models.
Also unless I can get a significant weight differential, say 6 to 8 ounces, most people won't see the benifits of a smaller tent.
