"Evaporated Cane Juice Crystals*
*Organic"

So would that be the ingredient formerly known as sugar?
"Excuse me, neighbour, may I borrow a cup of cane juice? Don't trouble yourself with evaporating it, I can do that myself."

"Himalayan Pink Salt"

I hear Pink is a really nutritious color.

Ha! Laugh all you want, infidels. I'll be the guy slumped in the corner with chocolate stuff haphazardly painted across my face, a glazed look in my eye, and a really goofy grin hanging on to my cheeks for dear life.

"Can I have some if I make Ian watch me eat it?"

Okay Mitchell, I can definitely get behind that.

That looks so rich that after 30 minutes, it might be the other cheeks you need to worry about.

Yikes! $13 for a nut butter. I'll take your word for it, but I'm going to have to stick with my peanut butter.

LOL! I had to go back to my receipt to see if that's what I paid. Yup! Damn, I didn't realize it was that expensive, as I have tunnel vision when shopping, I only see the item of my desires, not the price!

Still, it's pretty fricking good….

I've been a trailbutter fan for a while…..it's probably not as decadent as the above product, but it's not as expensive.

Nice! It's got all three food groups: fat; salt; and sugar!

And Dru — well spotted on the Trailbutter. I may try making my own and loading it into one of those re-closeable kid's applesauce packets (similar to their packaging).

D M, those trail butters look fabulous, and much easier to carry than the tub of wonder sugar I've got!

I'll stick with nutella.. 200cal/oz 8$ vs 12$ less fancy hippy organic evaporated juice ;) plastic jar + spoon.. good to go

good find for something different though.

Go for it Valerie!
I like Nutella, but sometimes it's too sweet. The trailbutter has just the right combination of salty and natural sweetness.

that is true.. most of my hiking is in warm temps but a good warning for colder shoulder season hikes.

"I'll stick with nutella"

I had Nutella when I lived in Germany. Tasty stuff. But since then I shy away from palm oil and dairy.

We have a name for that phenomenon. Nuttelaria.

Peanuts unfortunately no longer agree with my digestive tract. Yeah, this stuff is pricey, but it has all the stuff I love, and none of the stuff that doesn't love me back. I'll try it! I do love the packaging on the Trail Butter, though. Super handy.
