That little outrigger pole is pretty funky looking, but maybe it works.

I dunno about that weird pole, but this is good progression for them I think.

It looks to me as if the head end would have the same problem as the Duplex. Some DCF tape running up diagonally as suggested, I think, by Dan Durston might help*.

And I would add some tape up the two upper sides of the triangle at the foot end; that doesn’t seem to be a seam. The other lines of tension on the foot side all look to be seams, so should be fine.

*Though with 165+ nights on our Duplex, which I do pitch taut, the problem of bias stretch has only been significant close to the tie outs.

I think a .292″ carbon pole (in a sleeve) on each side of the foot triangle would greatly help with stability. Not sure how well the triangle apex tieout by itself will do in strong buffeting winds.

Agree that this looks like a good design direction.  The strength/durability of the peak guys being attached to the vents rather than directly to the peak concerns me.

I have several years use on a 0.74 duplex with absolutely zero wear/tear issues including bias stretch. It is always pitched taut and has lived through many heavy storms.  IMO it is indistinguishable from new.

Interesting addition…I kinda like it.

Looks like some improvements.  The screen doors are suspended from the top, so they no longer flop to the ground when opened.  The vestibule uses a zipper and the clip attached on the left flap, not both.  This will make quick use of the door much easier. The tent is 50″ wide and will probably accommodate two 25″ pads.  They may have to be mummy pads since the floor tapers at the foot area.  If it can be pitched so the fly reaches the ground, it may improve performance on cold, windy nights by reducing drafts. The extension adds lots of surface to catch winds.  The top of the extension appears to result in a lot of surfaces to potentially catch snow if used in cold conditions.

It was bound to happen and maybe it has already but there is now a published AI Bot “review”.  Given that there is a direct link to the product page on Zpacks with affiliate reward  I would hope that Zpacks shuts it down immediately.
