Anybody using a Zpacks lumbar pad on a Burn and/or Exodus? Or, anyone tried and it didn’t fit/work?

Yeah, doesn’t fit on its own.

I’m thinking of putting two horizontal strips of (think an equal sign) of velcro on the pad and where it would go on the pack, OR two vertical strips and one horizontal (think a wide/fat H pattern).

Any reason I couldn’t/shouldn’t do this? The adhesive of the velcro shouldn’t have any detrimental impact on the DCF, should it? I’ve got 2 DCF packs that I use; hence the velcro so I can move the pad from one pack to the other.

I’d be concerned that the adhesive hold wouldn’t last with heat and movement. better bet would be to replace the loops on the zpacks pad to longer ones that fit mld

Good point.

Check this out. I threaded shock cord through pack loops, lumbar pad loops, around the hipbelt, and through a loop on the bottom of the lumbar pad loop that is also connected by one of Zpacks dcf tape loop patches. Should keep it centered while allowing for some travel/movement, similar to the design for Zpacks packs.
