<p style=”text-align: left;”>Just received my Nero Today..I’m playing with it a bit.. Anyone getting the perfect fit and anyone have the shoulder straps dig into your neck.let me know how it feels to you.. Going to load her up and start adjusting to see if this is the One..</p>
Jun 22, 2017 at 4:41 pm #3474826Ok First impression..Got the shoulder straps adjusted out and the 3 position waist belt system is brilliant. The waist belt is perfect, you don’t need anything more.. Now to the roll top. Zpacks had a mental day off with the line lock closure system. They twist and just to much line hanging everywhere that cannot be trimmed. The tried and True Buckle system is what they should had stayed with. Not a deal breaker but I will probably send it to some MYOG GURU (Bryan) and let him play with it.. Anyways that is my 1 day first impressions on the Nero..
Jun 22, 2017 at 5:50 pm #3474840Jerry, when I first saw it I was wondering about that closure system. In the website photos you can see the cords tucked into the side pockets.
However, after watching a video review it is obvious that the LL3 cord locks could be exchanged easily to convert it to the clip buckle that I also greatly prefer. I’m guessing they did that just to distinguish it from the Zero with popular options, which is identical except for the adjustable-height waist webbing and the top closure.
I have used the Zero a fair amount and am happy with loads up to about 17-18 lbs.
I’m looking forward to hearing about your impressions once you’ve got a few miles on the Nero.
