My husband and I are hoping to get walk-in permits to do the Zion Traverse next week. We are experienced multi day/ long distance hikers. We are debating about taking our regular trail runners (medium weight not super lightweight) or leather Lowa Renegade GTX boots. We have Kahtoola microspikes and trail runners are our preference. Has anyone been there recently and what do you recommend?
