Following up on BPL’s recommendation regarding this tarp (https://zpacks.com/products/hexamid-pocket-tarp) or the version with storm doors, I’m wondering if anyone can provide some real life user experience, particularly around the LENGTH of the tarp? Â I’m 6’6″ so length does matter. Â I can see the official specs online but I suspect that the shape of the tarp drastically reduces the overall useable length. Â Looking for some comments from anyone that has first hand experience please.
you will have a problem with the length, no doubt in my mind. I own it and I am 5′ tall, it is fairly small.
I own one of the original Hexamid tarps with a beak and, as annapurna said, I think you would find the length too short. I’m 5’8″ and would not want to be much taller when using this in any kind of inclement weather. I’ve been happy with it and use it for any 3 season trips where bugs are not mcu of an issue, but it is a very small shelter. I don’t think anything smaller would work for me.
