Z-Flick Poles, spreading out the force

I’m looking for a suggestion for something to spread out the force on the tent/tarp when using Z-Flick poles.  The end of these poles is much smaller than the top of hiking poles, so will put more stress on the fabric.  The only idea I’ve had is using a tennis ball, not very light weight.   Any ideas?

Thanks so much

Spare sock folded, though the inside is reinforced and have never had an issue with piercing.

Those poles mushrooms are cool.

You can put the wider base at the top but if you want it even wider than that, or you want more grip, then a nice solution is a trekking pole ‘boot’. Those are widely available will fit onto the narrower end of the pole. You might already have some laying around if they came with your hiking poles.

From Dans recommendation for the Pro1. Got at my local hardware store in the automotive section.
