Thought some of you might enjoy this post about women and backpacking, just in time for Mother’s Day.
My wife and I wrote it together, and had some fun doing it!

I thought the article was pretty funny considering I am the backpacker in the family. Â But what you said about letting your wife make some choices was great. I have been the slowest hiker in the group and the fastest.
I usually carry a small tarp. So in a pinch it could be used for privacy if nature calls. But in reality, I am more worried about mosquitos than other hikers. Btw, I hike with my daughter and there is no way I would share a potty kit with her. When it comes to carrying out the trash, I teach each person to be responsible for themselves. Â But it is sweet that you all can share the experience as well as the doody bag!
Thanks, Lisa!
Just remember that it’s the female mosquitoes that bite! grin
