In July, I went backpacking and fishing in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. I started at the Scab Creek Trailhead and I hiked around 15 miles into Bonneville Basin. I had a great time in Wyoming and Colorado despite some silly mishaps.
Unfortunately, I took a fall on my 2nd day of the trip, so I had to cancel my original plan for 2 more week long backpacking trips in the Wind River Range. My back and shoulder were really sore after the fall, but I am fine now (it just need time to heal and it was probably just a pulled muscle). Therefore, I took the opportunity to drive through the Utah’s High Uintas that I always wanted to see and then I spent a week in Gunnison Colorado, taking it easy by whitewater kayaking and flyfishing the Taylor River for great Brown and rainbow trout fishing. Poor me :) I had a great time fishing in Gunnison, but I was a bit bummed about not doing two more backpacking trips that I originally planned to do.
As I wrote earlier, on the 2nd day of the hike, I tripped on a rock (fell forward and torqued by back), on a perfectly fine groomed piece of trail. I was a little sore immediately afterwards. However, when I woke up, the next morning my lower back hurt badly and I was a bit worried that I was having a pins and needles feel in my right foot and it kept on falling asleep. My original plan was to go from Bonneville Basin to Lee Lake and then to Middle Fork Lake for a loop. However, since I was injured, I took it easy for the next 3 days in Bonneville Basin.
Here is a video of the whole trip.

The Following is my favorite picture from the whole trip. It is of an abandoned cabin near the shortcut from the Scab Creek Trail to Raid Lake.
