I’m trying to find a pair of wind pants for my (grown) daughter. Something like the men’s Montbell Dynamo wind pants. Something nylon, very light and stuffable that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I’ve been all over the web, but have come up empty. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hmm, curious that Montbell doesn’t sell wind pants for women. I assumed they did, but nope. That’s too bad, as I was thinking of getting some for my wife.
I see these on REI, if she doesn’t mind tights. No weight listed, however.
Is there a reason the men’s pants won’t work for her? I frequently buy men’s gear for myself.
Hi Dena. Men’s pants would work just as well. She takes a women’s size small. I didn’t think I could find a men’s size small enough for her.
Can’t you simply go to Wallyworld, buy a pair of synthetic LW gym pants and rip out the cotton liners, if they have the syntheitc mesh liner just leave alone and use As-Is, I used a pair of Puma training pants for a decade until they fell apart and while not UL the did tke the place of 2 normal layers, no need for long johns/long janes when they have the mesh lining until there is snow on the ground
Yeah, Wally World, etc is probably a good solution. Based on the lack of availability on gear sites my sense is that wind pants are generally being replaced with rain pants as a dual purpose item. Anti Gravity Gear has a pair of silnylon rain pants that might fit the bill.
There was a thread a year or so ago about nylon dance pants as wind pants. Several men were using these, too. I think it was these:
. THESE are actually really good and cheap, they were originally brought to my attention by Dale in this thread from 2012 INTRESTING UL WIND PANTS FROM DANCE WORLD . Paul Magnanti ( PMAGS) did a nice review on them on his blog Gear Review: Discount Dance Supply Rip Stop Pants .
These Dance World pants look like a fantastic solution. I’m placing my order now. Thanks, everyone for all the great ideas and comments.
I may order a pair of these, because they look like they might be the same fabric as my favourite Chinese faux-dini wind jacket.
