Will the fit of this pack cause issues?

New pack fits a little weird. It’s a SWD Wendigo. The shoulder strap puts more pressure on the inside of the strap making outside of the strap have a gap. This image below is with about 28lbs in the pack. I’m not really sure what I could change to make the straps fit straight on the shoulders.

So would this cause issues while hiking? I’m thinking it would because the pressure would all be on the inside of the strap and not distributed.

Your load lifter straps look like they are pulled too tight given the load that’s in the pack. Ideally, there should be enough weight on the shoulder straps to allow them to mold to the shape of your shoulder.

1. Loosen the load lifters all the way.

2. Load the pack.

3. Cinch the hip belt.

4. Tighten the lower shoulder strap length adjustment strap until the pack snugs to your back and the shoulder strap molds to the shoulder.

5. Barely tighten the load lifter strap – just enough to pull some weight off the shoulders but not so much that you are changing the shape of the shoulder strap crest or pulling it off the shoulder like shown in the photo.
