Wondering if anyone from the forum will be taking the WFR course in the San Jauns next week from Backcountry Medical Guides? 7 days, 6 nights sailing and camping while working through the Wilderness First Responder Course.
I’ve long been an adventurer, but in the past few years have found a new passion for hiking, camping and backpacking. My boys 10 and 12 are great companions on the trail (4-year-old is not ready for thru hikes, yet), and we’ve been working up to higher mileage and longer stays. It’s been a dream to take a WFR course to be more aware and able while traveling with my boys.
Choosing to invest in training, but I’m working up (or down) to more lightweight/UL gear and would love the opportunity to talk to someone in person, and/or check out some of the lighter weight options if you plan to be in that course.
Tarps vs pyramids vs hexa/plexa. UL packs, etc.
