Hi all. We did a 70 or so mile traverse of the Sawtooths last summer. It ended up being one of the best trips we have done in a long while. Right now we are fighting the urge to go back to the Sawtooths next summer for our annual trip. We like to try to do something different every August.
We were thinking that maybe a great compromise might be a trip to the White Clouds. Research is in its infancy, but does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
We prefer loneliness. We prefer a good chunk of the mileage to be off trail. We like 10-18 miles a day depending upon on or off trail. Looking for 7-ish nights. The more huge views and killer lakes the better.
If anyone has any suggestions or wants to point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!
