Locus Pro is terrific and affordable.
Caltopo
Gaia GPS
I use Gaia Pro most of the time and find it easy to use and an excellent platform for creating routes, waypoints, elevation profiles and also importing tracks. I also use Avenza when routes are based on that platform. For specific trails that Guthook has apps for, like the CDT, of which I’m thru- hiking now, and others, his apps are excellent, easy to use and a simple basically plug and play map source.
Caltopo.com to build and Avenza app on phone.
Gaia is very popular. Even the free version has all of the functionality that you’ll ever need.
