I don’t know how many times I’ve almost dropped a bottle/bladder top into an unrecoverable situation. I now carry extra caps in my repair kit. Although, I love way the caps are attached to the Evernew bladders. It seems unlikely that this is a proprietary item. Does anyone have an idea where I might buy a handful?
I don’t think you can buy those and install–the plastic ring is stiff and won’t stretch to fit over the ring on the neck. Here’s a blog post on how to make your own:

Diane, I’ve had luck transferring the Evernew caps between bottles and filters. The retaining ring has a V-shaped notch that allows for this.
