I tried to return the new OR rain pants that were just delivered yesterday because I didn’t think they were any better than the older OR pants I have. Filled out the Web Returns part and it said they were only doing exchanges at this time. Called the Customer Service line and it said they were not offering phone service but responding to emails. I have one in and will see if they reply back.
Are they going under or having serious issues?
Lots of drama there this week and next. I believe next week is when they officially close their El Monte, CA, factory, and about 50 employees will lose their jobs.

Darn, I just ordered a water filter filter cartridge from them.
I did get an email from OR saying to use the Returns Portal which still will only let you do exchanges so there seems to be alot of confusion with the staff as to what is going on. I also noticed that I did not get a packing slip or anything like that with my order which I thought was odd because I did get the sticker.
I am assuming their CA factory is part of their military division because everything I have ever purchased from them that I can remember has been made overseas. And it is usually never the workers fault but external factors or management.
The CA plant was part of the military contracts and having to meet the Berry Amendment. They don’t seem to have as many government contracts as they used to. I also wonder if it’s a PFAS issue with it being banned in CA.
