Alpkit is a new name to me but appears to be well loved in the U.K. Their new Gravitas jacket (https://www.alpkit.com/products/gravitas-mens) was created by their new designer who came over to them from RAB and it appears to be hitting way above its price point ($143 shipped to the U.S.) with 3 layer construction and pretty high waterproofness/breathability ratings. I was able to find a couple preliminary reviews at some sites in the U.K. (http://www.outdoorsmagic.com/reviews/jackets/shell-jackets—waterproof/alpkit-gravitas-jacket/review/37761.html and http://grit.cx/reviews/received-alpkit-gravitas-waterproof-jacket) but haven’t heard or seen anything of it here at BPL. Anyone have it already or have any thoughts about it? As an FYI, they’ve sold out of the orange color except in small and will not be making any more in that color :(
