I carry me…and I am a piece of ( great;) work…
I often bring one of the hats I made, gloves, sometimes socks, vest etc. Mostly clothes. I also modify almost all my gear and that could count??
Agreed, great thread.

Agreed, great thread.
By the way, Kat, I searched “kat hats” on BPL, and came up with a thread that had photos of your hats. Nice work yourself! Â They were all dated from 2011-2013, though, maybe you need to put a couple new ones up.
Hi Diane,
those we all quick ones I made for sale. I made many more intricate ones that I could not charge enough to sell…
here is one I like :)

Here is something else I made…for me. Not taking it backpacking, but I have used it in my hammock on the porch a few nights.

I just carry my XUL tattoos and carbon fiber wedding ring.
Now you’re talking, Kat! Â Nice use of mosaic blocks, I really like the color patterning.
Thanks Diane. Those are “mitered” squares with added on edge.
oops. yes, that’s what I meant to say. Â the other M technique. Â Usually the mitered squares are rather garish, I like how you have blended the colors with the background. I find that the two-color squares are often too much contrast for me. Â I have seen it used to good effect with subtle tones that evoke fish scales or peacock feathers. Â But then again, I’m not a big fan of real “Crazy quilt” quilting either. Â Too much color everywhere.
Here is a link  to another quilt I made Diane
Oh, my, that’s fantastic! Â I’ve lost the patience for large works like that. Â Even though I got my start knitting sweaters, I haven’t been able to finish a sweater for years. Â Hats, socks, gloves, and cowls have been my go-to meditation knitting.
Your work is absolutely amazing Kat, especially the quilt you linked to.
One more–a lovely old juniper on the PCT near Noble lake. If you can’t see the photo, you can see it here:
I love this thread!
Former knitter, may get back to it sometime.

I do pastel landscapes.

Another, started plein air ended in the studio, got too cold. Up by Snowbowl by Flagstaff.

Never leave home with out it!
And these are my ‘hiking boots’ that I make. Â Yes, they are dirty! Â I just finished a long dirty run.

And one more – CF Frame with pack and CF Uke, yes, make it all. Â I’ll be at the Bay Area GGG

A lot of artists and craftspeople around here, very cool.
