I’m looking for a lightweight synth vest for an additional winter layer. I have heard good things about a 6oz patagonia pullover vest from the past, but I am confused as to whether this is the Puffball (snap neck) or the micro puff (1/2 zip)–to make it more confusing I sometimes hear these names being used interchangeably for the same garment. Ive also heard that different years were different weights. I’ve been seeing a number of the 1/2 zip vests on ebay for pretty cheap but was wondering if folks could help orient me as to the lightest version of this 100g synth vest. I’m personally a size small but any weight info regardless of size would be helpful. Thanks!

I think the nano puff is 60g and the puffball is 100g. Check Patagonias site to verify
Greg,
I own a Patagonia snap neck Puffball vest from years past and it is different from the Micropuff  zip neck vest. Mine in a size small weighs 5.9 ozs.

great vest BTW, still “puffy” after all these years.
Thanks, Robert, for the pic and the weight. Good to hear that the puffiness has held up, too. That model is definitely the harder one to find out there. Could anybody with a half zip micro puff vest “weigh in”? ;)
