Hello,
I am having difficulty finding this so I thought I would ask. Looking for a reasonably priced rain jacket that is made of a 100% waterproof material, has pit zips and an inner storm flap that might fit someone that is tall. Thank you.

inner storm flap
What’s that?
You’re not talking about the flap behind the zipper that virtually all commercially-made jackets have, are you?
My Versalite rain jacket from Montbell has been great. It’s light too. No stormflap though. https://www.montbell.us/products/disp.php?cat_id=25013&p_id=2328169&gen_cd=1
Yes, I think he is. Right off hand is lightheart gear and antigravity gear.
Yes, I am but I have found alot do not, especially in the UL land. I just don’t trust waterproof zippers to remain waterproof for long.
Yes, but Montbell does not make an XXL and its fabric is WPB.
I don’t think the former does about the latter does not have one.
I just bought the Lightheart Gear jacket — love the jacket but no, it doesn’t have any kind of flap over the main zipper.
The old version of the LHG rain jacket is on discount because that version is being discontinued, it does not have the waterproof zipper and has the flap over the zipper and still has a few colors left in 2xl. I am sure you will find something you don’t like about though. Good luck in your search.
Thanks both of you. I find the flap over the zipper really does not work and you need one under or behind the zipper.
I recently bought a RANDY SUN jacket. The jacket is pretty good. The zipper is also waterproof and the size is large. You can wear size L up to 1.87. The largest size is XL
I think Randy sun is spam.
He is spam and only posts to bring up this product and I think BPL should contact this person about advertising on the site.
A storm flap over the zipper isn’t good enough? If I’m in that kind of weather, a tiny leak through my zipper, if it were to occur, would be the least of my worries.
Maybe in the hills o’Scotland, where the wind is blowing and the rain falls in sheets all day, an inner flap would make sense. I try to not go out into such weather. I wear glasses. I like to see my environment. It’s sort of the whole point for me.
Where’s Luke? What happened to all those making custom gear?
Am puzzled because there is no mention of waterproof breathable (WPB) gear, like a rain jacket. It always has worked for me, even in the middle of Moosehead lake in a blowing downpour.
My gear it still working fine; but like anything it will eventually wear out, and I’m wondering if there have been changes that have pulled the best quality WPBs off the market.
