I am already carrying the down and VBLs and would like to get a lighter mummy bag than a -25 F (-32 C) for Canadian winters. Before purchasing a lighter bag, I ask those with anecdotal evidence using down and/or VBLs to augment the temperature rating on their mummy bag to kindly assist.
What is the warmest temperature rating one could get away with in Scenarios 2 and 3?
Scenario 1: -25 F (-32 C) mummy bag
Scenario 2: Down jacket with hood + down pants + down booties + mitts + ____ F mummy bag
Scenario 3: VBL full sleeve shirt + VBL hat + VBL pants + VBL socks + VBL gloves + down jacket with hood + down pants + down booties + mitts + ____ F mummy bag
The mummy bag will be roomier to accommodate the additional layers.
