“Anker has issued a voluntary recall of the Anker 321 Power Bank (PowerCore 5K, Black) A1112 due to a manufacturing defect. The company states that “the lithium-ion battery in the affected power banks can overheat, potentially causing melting of plastic components, smoke and fire hazards.””

And you go to their website and you put in your serial number and all your purchase date information , proof of purchase, order number, lah blah and then it pops up and tells you whether or not yours was affected. Mine was not even though it was purchased March 31st from Amazon
Was just in the market for a new Anker USB-C powerbank. Hopefully this doesn’t indicate a decline in their quality. Many recent reviews of the new Anker line seem to be showing a decline. But then again so do reviews on Nitecores NB10000. My USB-A Anker 10000Mah is still going strong. Just casually needing to drift into USB-C outs. Devices changing and hate to use dongles.
I’m tempted on getting the Nitecore extreme cold version. Can anybody attest to the claim that the carbon fiber is really just a fake sticker with Nitecore? It sure looks like fake carbon. The likes you’d get when you’d go to Schucks Auto Parts back in the day.
