All, I would appreciate feedback – in particular from anyone who has done a cross-Scotland hike.

Depending on global pandemics, I would be looking to do this late spring/early summer

My pack is fairly light (lighter pack) : this is my summer pack – can I add/reduce anything?

    • My camera/film stuff is carried in separate small waist pack (so not in my base weight?)
    • I carry an MSR PR DLX stove for reliability – I do have BSR3000 but useless in wind.
    • Do I need my 20F / -6C quilt and R5.2 sleeping pad?  I sleep warm.
    • Do I need extra layer of underclothing for hiking: temperature/emergencies.
    • Bugs?
    • I prefer light-hiking boots, but for the bog-hopping am I better with Altra’s?
    • Extra pair of trousers?
    • Would expect 1 resupply in the middle and likely will fast a couple of days as well.
    • Is 3L water capacity enough or too much

There are a lot of people with experience of Scotland and the rest of the UK on the trek-lite forum. I suggest that you ask over there.
