I’ve got CalTopo, GAIA, and Basecamp Apps on my phone. When I bushwhack, I put the phone on airplane mode. I’d like to be able to put one or two of the three Apps on “sleep mode” (if there is such a thing) to avoid all three from draining the battery.
Is it possible to do this? Let’s say I wanted to run just CalTopo for tracking purposes, can I turn off the GPS function of GAIA and Basecamp on those apps?
Yes! I do the same – Caltopo, Gaia, OnX, and Earthmate are the 4 GPS apps that I use.
