I see both Brynje and Aclima have wool fishnet garments (they still both have polypro), any dealers in the US?

thanks in advance

Unfortunately, i haven’t seen any.  I’ve been thinking about trying to find a knitter to commission a simple, pull over fishnet (like a mini poncho) made out of an alpaca nylon blend chunky yarn.  If used in combo with a mid layer and a windshirt/jacket, it could be a rather open design–the holes would just need to be small enough to keep the 2nd layer of fabric from falling in and touching the skin.  In that case, an experienced, skilled knitter should be able to do it pretty quickly, or so i hope.

I’m going to send emails to both Brynje and Aclima and see if they have any suggestions- you’d think it would behoove them to have their market opened up the US???

I see Eberlestock is now selling fishnet base layers, polypro (evidently made in Finland)- would rather have wool, but in a pinch…..

If it wasn’t for stink, polypro ones would be much better. I still haven’t tried the PP anti-stink treatment yet. Need o do that.

(basically, coconut oil with antimicrobial essential oils [clove and rosemary primarily] infused in same and applied to inside of the PP, since PP so readily absorbs oils of all kinds).

They use to have US distributors, not sure what happened.

Mike,

Several years ago I ordered some Aclima items from Nordic Outdoor in the UK without any problems whatsoever.

Hi Mike. I just picked up US import of Brynje products. We will start with their new Merino wool mesh in t-shirts and longs for men and women. I originally worked with the Norwegian company when I was with my family’s business, Reliable Racing Supply. Please let me know if you have immediate needs, I have a little inventory now and will have much more in the future.

Hi Justin. I just took over US import of Brynje. I have worked with the company over the past 20 years and now think it is time to make them known over here. We have their new Merino wool mesh in t-shirt and longs for men & women. Please let me know if you have an interest.
