Typically I find it difficult to say “no” to a January hut trip, so when Randy emailed me towards the end of November with available spots, I was immediately in. Randy (a fellow BPL’er) and I met two years ago on a trip to Harry Gates. Most of our communication since then has been online, typically comparing local trail beta
Looks like a great time. I would love to do a winter trip like that but we don’t get that much snow. Are those huts privately owned huts you rent?

Uncle Buds Hut is managed by the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association in Colorado.
