We just returned from a 2 week desert hike and repeatedly needed a monocular/binocular for route finding, resupply point checking, and lava field traverses. We need to see up to 1 or 2 miles ahead. Any suggestions for an ultralight monocular or binocular weighing less than 4 oz?

Experimented with a lot over the years. My current one is the Brunton Echo 7×18 Pocket Scope. So far so good. And pretty darn cheap.
