I have two 650 down blankets which I sewed gros grain loops on and ran 4 areas of shock cord with carabiners to turn them in lightweight quilts. One is a Get Out Gear that weighs 19oz with cordage, and the other is a warmer Horizon Hound double puffy that weighs 26oz with cordage. The lighter one is good down to around 50F even when I just have minimal summer clothing. The heavier one is probably good down to around 45F. I can switch to my 25F Ultralight Zenbivy when temps go down to the low 50s or less. But on multi day summer trips when there will be one chilly night, it’s nice to know I can handle the upper 40’s with a simple inexpensive down blanket which keeps my pack light.
