    Here’s a link to the winter rangers at Tuolumne’s last update. This is from before our recent round of storms. Four feet of settled snow then. The rangers are way overdue for an update. I’m guessing they’ve had their hands full. One lower elevation west slope station meauserd five inches of rain falling in one 24 hour period. That would have been all snow up higher. And of course this storm went on for much longer than 24 hours. With more on the way! So, who’d care to guess the snow depth at Tuolumne for today? My guess is, around 10 feet of combined settled and unsettled snow.

    It ain’t over yet, either. The snow has been falling north to south through the Sierra, so you can extrapolate what this means for next season…
