I currently have an old 5lb 2 person tent and a 7lb ALPS Tasmanian 2 4 season tent.
Realizing where I live and go I probably don’t need a true 4 season tent, expect for heavy Snow fall…. And looking to shed weight.
So I’m narrowing it down to the TT Moment, Dipole and Durston X-Mid2 All are rated 3+ season, about the same weight but the biggest difference being the sizes.
I’m planning on using it for winter (Midwest, Great Lakes) and when I bring one or both of my boys with me.
I’m heavily leaning towards Durston X-Mid2 since it’s only about 6/7 oz heavier than the 1P.
Any thoughts, comments to help sway me one way or the other?
Side note anyone with a split wing ever taken it out in winter?
