Personally, I don’t like hiking pants that have front pocket access from the top because top access is blocked or severely limited by my backpack belt… side access much better…

I have both the T1 and T2 pants. Bought the T2’s two years ago for work as a delivery driver during the colder months. Just purchased the T1’s a few months ago. I work in a grocery store now.

I absolutely love these pants. The fit is great and consistent across multiple pairs. I have 5 of each type and there’s no discernible difference in the fit between any of them.

They are both really comfortable and I use the T2’s more while I’m hiking or backpacking than the T1’s.

But I was in the same boat as you initially. I was skeptical they could be as good as they claimed. But I haven’t had any problems at all with them. So far both types seem to live up to up their hype.

They’re quite abrasion resistant. I think I’ve got one small scrape/scratch/pickup on one of my first pair. I am not gentle with them at all. Either at work or outdoors.

The pockets are obviously more handy for work than anything, but I do use them more than I thought would when I’m hiking. Probably just because I’m used to using them during the week.

It’s hard to accurately express how impressed I am with these pants without sounding like a company shill. I think the one thing that can be a drawback is they do make a bit of a swish sound when you walk. But I’m walking 8 to 10 miles a day for work so I don’t notice it at all.

If you’ve got any specific questions let me know.

I find that too much stuff in the pockets gets annoying. Too many pockets and I’m searching for stuff. I can usually tell where my phone is because it’s beating against my leg while pulling down my pants. If I change into shorts, then I need to repack everything. Nice pants though.  I’d wear those for work.

These pants are similar to my Duluth Trading nylon “Dry-On-The-Fly” cargo pants. And the price is close too.

I don’t know if DT is offering the winter fleece lined version this year but I love mine for winter hiking and camping here in Nevada.
