I recently used a Carbon Fiber Ultralite Vario 4 Trek Pole for my BD Mega Light and during a big snow storm the pole broke, putting a small hole in my Mega Light. I fixed the hole and am now looking to find a stronger trekking pole. Does anyone here have recommendations for a trekking pole that is lightweight and yet strong enough to hold up a BD Mega Light, even in a big snowstorm?

Gabe, Was this one pole or two lashed together? If the former, I’m unaware of any trekking poles long enough to be used by their lonesome. Well, unless a pole jack is added.
Any aluminum poles. I would gravitate toward Black Diamond as I prefer flick locks.
Almost any pole will be stronger. Â BD carbon corks are always a good option. Â Modding BD ski poles (the Boundary, for example) to take a GGear grip makes for a very burly and fairly light pole.
