Timmermade hasn’t really been on my radar until recently. Im interested in the Argon 90 wind shirts/pants, alpha direct fleece pants, and quilts.
If you have used any of these products from Timmer, how would you compare them to other premium offerings in their respective categories?
I dont see his stuff mentioned that much around here. Any reason? just a small brand?
His stuff looks top notch and surprisingly price competitive.Aug 13, 2021 at 2:45 am #3724704Jon SolomonBPL Member
Dan Timmerman’s designs are often unique and he practically offers bespoke tailoring services on some of his garments and other items. I’d be surprised if he can sustain that model and it’s no wonder that lead times have ballooned. Timmerman’s products are definitely premium class. Perhaps the best accolade came from another cottage manufacturer of premium down products on a different forum who said something to the effect that Dan Timmerman is like somebody who lives on another planet without WiFi and comes up with unique, other-worldly designs. Anyway, lots and lots of positive comments on other forums. I’ve loved everything he’s made. Unfortunately, with the new EU regulations concerning TVA on any products coming from outside the EU (in addition to import duties), it’s going to be very difficult for me in the future to order again.Aug 13, 2021 at 4:32 am #3724705Iago VazquezBPL Member

I have the windshirt and the alpha hoodie. Very happy with both.
Wait was long, but everything was made in the expected timeline.
