Thanks – that was fun and, like everyone, I also hate ticks.
I can relate a bit to the song. I hiked the Appalachian Trail last year. Over 2 days in June, just north of Glasgow VA, I picked up more ticks on my legs then the rest of the trail combined. My clothes and socks were treated with Permithrin, but that didn’t help my bare legs. I was constantly checking my legs and finding more. Definitely would support the whole species going extinct.
Maybe I’m from an older generation, but somehow I thought this was going to be a cover a this song:

You’ve got to step over every stick
Must be the season of the ticks
Don’t pick up sticks, a tick might crawl onto you ?
You have to pick up every tick…
I haven’t seen a tick in Colorado. Mostly Northern California. Cedarville. I picked up one sleeping in the brush around Susanville. Carried it around on my face for the day until I looked in a gas station mirror.
One for me he old folks…

I’ve gotten ticks on the rogue river, northern california including walking around on pavement trying to not touch any plants, along the Deschutes River. Other places I forget.
I am now more careful to put permethrin on pants and gaiters.
That explains all the vegetarians in that area.
alpha gal syndrome?
alpha gal syndrome?
Though not as bad as alpha male syndrome?

Feel better yet.
Interesting. A conspiracy theory that liberals are distributing “tick boxes” to infect people with alpha gal so they don’t eat meat, but eat more woke things like vegan? I like how the official refused to answer. RFK JR also refused. No one denied it though.
Now all the wolves around Denver are woke.
