I am planning to start the trail Sunday though I know there are some nearby fires. Anyone been up there especially on the South Sister Summit and know if the air quality and views have been impacted? From what I can see Sister and Bend have some reduced air quality/visibility. I was hoping to do this area before the permits kick in but can switch to another hike in Alpine Lake Wilderness if need be. Thanks in advance for any replies!

sunday, monday there might be some rain

make sure you have some rain gear

But, they are just predicting 0.02 inches so maybe it’s so minor it won’t matter

Looks like air quality is getting worse, now several fires west of Three Sisters, but on Sunday that weather system will probably clean the air pretty good, depress any fires
