Hi, I’m curious if anyone here has tried both of these CCF pads, and if so, which did they find more comfortable as to cushioning?

I’m in the process of making an UL cot, and I’m hoping that with a more solid (non foldable) CCF pad on top of the webbing/straps of the cot, and then with a torso only length version of one of the above pads, I might be able to sleep completely on foam for the first time in a long time. But I’ve read mixed reviews about the specific comparison of these two pads, with some saying the Nemo was more comfortable and some saying the Thermarest was more comfortable (and durable) for them.

Funny you post this. I just bought a short version and am going to see if Incan sleep in my back yard. I find most pads are fine for people that sleep on their backs, and that’s going to be something I have to train myself to do.

I own both.  I did about five blind, lay down and tell me what feels better tests with friends.   (on a concrete patio).

Everyone, including me,  seemed to prefer the switchback.

But everyone pretty much agreed that it is only a tiny difference.

I’m pretty sure I’ve read previous post saying the Switchback flattens out after 25 sleep nights….time to buy a new one.

Outdoorgearlab mentioned the flattening I think.

Hi Mike, I look forward to hear about your test.

Hi John Jay, that’s great feedback, thank you.

Hi John M. and John S., hmmm, if that is true, then I would definitely go with the Thermarest. Durability is ultimately more important to me than a slight comfort difference.

Thank you all for the replies/feedback.
