So, I got a random thought in my head today about how the synergy straps on most Therm-a-rest pads are only designed for 20 inch pads and its common occurrence that people using 25 inch pads have not been able to use them as intended. I have a solution. I have a NEMO Tensor Regular Wide pad and I was thinking as to how I could get the synergy straps on my Hyperion 20 Degree bag to wrap around the pad without breaking the loops or damaging my pad. The short answer is there is no way to do what I just described. However, not long ago I purchased the Therm-a-rest Synergy Lite Sheet. To those who are unfamiliar the synergy lite sheet has loops on the side to attach quilts or blankets to the pad if desired. I figured since the synergy straps on my Hyperion wouldn’t have to wrap around the pad and just loop through the synergy sheet I might be able to make it work. I tested it and it works like a charm. I will include pictures below to show everyone.
