The DEVILS PATH Thruhike, Catskills NY

I really want to tackle this one, now.  I might phone in a 3-day, 2-night schedule, though.  Beautifully country up there; I’ve not spent enough time in it.

Hey @dirtbag, that sounds like it would suit her just fine! Thanks for the heads up.  She’s quite the photog, sometimes even toting along a Canon 7D.  I know, crazy.  So that would likely work out great.  She’s done approx 200 mi of the AT with me thus far so the girl can hike.  We just try to pick the “easier” stretches and take our time. I’ll check it out!

LOL!!!!!!!!  Okay, that’s crazy.  I’ll pass that one along.  Hey, at least she’s having a good time!  I’ll gladly carry everything else if that’s the case!

Cool to see a report of the Devil’s Path on here! I have hiked all of these peaks as day hikes, except West Kill Mountain. On October 17, I plan to hike/run this trail in one single day, with a goal of a sub-10 hour completion time. I know this is going to be a loong, tough day, but I’m ready to push myself and see what I can do. Great photos, too. The Catskills are such an under-appreciated region!

I’ve hiked the eastern end of this trail.  I’d be mighty proud of a 10 day completion time.  But I’m old and busted.
