<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;”>Long time reader, first time poster. </span>

<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;”>I’m in the process of developing a tent but lack sewing knowledge and skill. I have all of the poles and attachments set up to work exactly how I need them to, I just need an experience tent maker/sewer to help me with the fabric portion. I was wondering if there are any folks in or near Texas who would be willing help out over a weekend with the construction of my design. I’m willing to compensate for time, obviously. </span>

<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;”>I already have ordered plenty of spare pieces and fabric, I just need someone with the know-how to help me get all of the fabric angles and tensions correctly done. I live in Houston, but am willing to drive or fly out of state if necessary. </span>

<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;”>Because I intend for my design to be commercially replicated, please forgive me for refraining to post pictures until I find someone with whom I can reach a non-disclosure agreement. The design will be small and simple for anyone who has built standard 3 season tents before, though. </span>

Recommendations are also appreciated!

Apart from simpler A frame or pyramid designs, I doubt that anyone could come up with the correct panel designs in just a few hours over a week end.

Most of the DIY projects you see here are the result of several prototypes having been made. That takes time.

I could be wrong….

You may already be using this, but sketchup was a HUGE help when I started planning out my tent. It gives a really good visual on fabric angles and also allows you to get exact measurements.
