My tentmates and I are 6′ to 6’3″ (depending on the tentmate). I currently have a zpacks triplex, which we use to sleep 2. Our sleeping quilts stick out too far at the foot. I would really like to find a longer tent in the same style (2 trekking pole pitch. two doors, DCF). Wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Thanks

The Tarptent Dipole 1 Li is the most tall-friendly backpacking tent I’ve ever owned. I’d suggest you check out the Dipole 2 Li.
I’m 6’5″.
The Dipole 2 looks good. If you want to stick with Zpacks, the Offset Duo gives a lot more useable length over the Duplex. I’ve used both.
Thanks Todd and William. Nice to not be reinventing the wheel during my search. (No particular desire to stick with z packs but would buy from them again)
While my Tarptent Notch Li is so narrow I have trouble changing my mind in it it IS plenty long.
For winter I use my TT Moment DW which, though heavier than the Notch Li, is wider and can be a bit better sealed up at each end.where the ground level vents are. It too is long enough for a 6’5″ person.
If you’re still looking I’d recommend including TarpTent’s Double Rainbow Li and Stratospire Li as well. I own both and use them alternately depending on trail conditions. I’m almost 6’7” and sleep at an angle just fine. I preferred these over the Aeon Li.
Good luck.
You might want to check out Gossamer Gear shelter. This is not a personal testament, but there was an exchange between Ryan and Glen Van Peski in TrailDays Online where Ryan suggested the new Gossamer Gear shelter could be smaller and work well for most people, and Glen also indicated that he is 6’4″. I have to rewatch it to find exactly which shelter it was they were discussing though.
This is all to say, another option you may want to check out.
Just checked the video… It’s The Whisper.
Hi
I’m Kevin from Seek Outside
Of our lighter shelters, the Sunlight (Fully integrated) is very friendly for tall folks , as is the Guardian . The Guardian is a true XL and could fit a couple tall people with large dogs no problem .
