As the title says, I’m making a hooped bivy (leaning towards double hooped in the style of a Snugpak Stratosphere or a Carinthia Observer).
I would prefer buying off-the-shelf poles, leaning towards 3 x 40cm DAC Featherlite NFL for each hoop. But I’m unsure if they can handle the amount of flex, and have been unable to find any information on it. As far as I can tell, the pole sections on the Stratosphere and the Observer are pre-bent, which makes me a little worried…
Any relevant info out there?
