I have a Copper Spur 1 person…like it for it’s ease of setup and ability to move it around.  Light enough no doubt.  I also used a Tarptent Rainbow for about 8 years.  Loved it.  It did leak pretty bad on me last summer at Isle Royale, but I blame myself for never seam sealing it beyond what Henry did at the shop.  It was a great tent.  Roomy.  Airy.  CS1 is cramped, no doubt.  It’s a specialty tent for me – when do I need a fairly self-supported tent I can move around, if necessary?  I have a Hileberg Enan, Zpacks Hexamid Solo+ and the CS.  They all serve a purpose, I guess.

I can’t believe no one mentioned light heart gear. The solo, solong, and duo are awesome tents. The awning is a great feature that can also be put into storm mode.

Usually someone is looking for new gear to solve some sort of problem. You list no problems with your tent aside from weight. BA uses some very light silnylon for this tent so let’s take a step back and look at what can provide a lighter tent:

smaller size – you don’t want small

Uses trekking poles do you carry these? Are you willing to lose the convenience of tent poles?

Single Wall – do you hike in conditions where condensation would be an issue?

Cuben Fiber Construction – Willing to spend $$$?

Tarp instead of dome- You said no to this already.

So, can you make the necessary sacrifices to choose any of those options? If so, there is something out there that will fit your needs. If you can choose one of the above criteria and say yes, then post your answer and surely someone can recommend something that comes closest to the copper spur while benefiting from the weight savings of that one sacrifice. If you cannot say yes to any then in my opinion, stick with what you have.

BA Fly Creek 2. Yeah, a front entrance. As has been said, ya gotta give up something. Bombproof, double wall, bathtub floor, easy set up, very light for all of this.

Bad zippers though.

This, in case you you don’t want to go single wall, hiking pole, no floor etc. but prefer a ‘traditional’ tent.

Well, do you all think I can sell my Copper 2 easily if its in good condition down the road?

I would say so. They are fairly popular on here for the right price. I would say the going rate for one gently used would be in the low 200’s. The one I had before I sold it, which was the 2015, I got brand new from Backcountry for $260 so gauge from that. Not sure what you paid but expect to incur the appropriate loss.
