Bought this new unblemished Dipole 2 Li from Tarptent in August 2024 (when my preferred Dipole 1 was out of stock).
Used it for 7 nights total in the High Sierra during summer of 2024 – a 4 night trip to Humphreys Basin and a 3-nighter to Cottonwood Lakes. Saw no rain, hail or heavy winds during these two trips.
Haven’t used it since then. (in October 2024, Tarptent restocked the Dipole 1 Li and I bought that to use instead of this Dipole 2 Li)
Never packed wet and always stored loosely, cool and well-ventilated.
I just set it up and inspected it today (July 28) and cannot find a blemish, tear or pinhole anywhere. Like-new condition.
Actual weight of tent body (without struts) and nylon floor is 783 grams / 27.62 ounces (struts add an additional 32 g / 1.13 oz, or they can be replaced with a second set of trekking poles). Stuff sack is 15 grams. Actual weight of tent body, nylon floor, struts, and stuff sack is 845 grams / 29.81 oz.
Comes with tent, bag, patches and your choice of 4 Easton aluminum stakes (blue 6” or yellow 9”)
