I am looking at a new 50L Long Haul from Superior Wilderness Designs, and I notice they are offering it in DCF now.
I would love some ideas about the pros and cons of the VX07 and the DCF. I would go with a stronger weight on the bottom. Thoughts?

I would say they are similar in durability with maybe a slight edge to the VX07.  DCF is lighter (2.9oz vs 4.8oz) and more expensive.  I also don’t think the SWD DCF Packs come standard with hipbelt pockets while the x pac one does.
I’d go with X pac myself
Great question, I have the same dilemma . I wish the DCF came in different colors. If you backpack in tic country, it’s harder to spot them on black. I haven’t had any experience with the VX07. Does anybody have a pac with this ? Pros and cons ?
I hadn’t noticed that about the hip belt pockets. Interesting that one would include them, and one would not.
Does anyone know if the VX07 is stiffer than DCF?
There was a big reddit discussion on this here:
SWD Now selling DCF options on their website from Ultralight
Their new website has the DCF model listed at 35 lbs capacity.
That is an excellent discussion on Reditt…
