Looking for a lightweight fleece that is full zip, no hood and no pockets if possible in an XXL or XLT. Cheap is good also, it does not have to be too technical but look okay-ish. Thank you
Jul 26, 2019 at 7:41 pm #3603584The North Face TNF retails around $50 but can often be found for $30 or 35. No hood/pockets. Quarter-zip. Nothing particularly special but it’s a good cut (for me). Mine weighs just under 8 ounces on my scale in a size large. I got mine on clearance at a department store which was awesome because it allowed me to use an ancient gift card for backpacking gear rather than buying something responsible like work clothes. YMMV.
Jul 27, 2019 at 6:18 pm #3603725Not exactly cheap but I have just that light fleece pullover from REI. I use it for sleeping in cool to cold weather. (NOT full zip.)
Also a great travel item for say, summer Baltic Sea cruises where the weather can quickly go to “nasty-rainy, cool and windy”. (Don’t ask)
Jul 27, 2019 at 8:18 pm #3603738Montbell chameece inner jacket. My large weighs a little over 9 oz. Full zip, no pockets, $59.
Jul 28, 2019 at 5:25 pm #3603827There’s the lighter Arc’Teryx Delta LT at an official 9.3 oz and there’s a jacket version. It has thin zip hand pockets but if one is handy with the scissors; they are so “thin” however I would just keep them. The jacket has a relaxed fit unlike the slimmer 1/4 zip pullover.
There are some very slight differences between earlier and current year models.Jul 28, 2019 at 9:38 pm #3603857If you want something that won’t break the bank, you can get 3 of these for the price of 1 of the above. It does have pockets though. I have a jacket and a vest. I normally wear a large an had to go with a medium. I worn both a dozen or so times last winter with no issues.

Jul 30, 2019 at 12:56 am #3604026Funny, I was going to recommend this 100wt Decathlon Fleece: https://www.decathlon.com/products/mens-mountain-hiking-fleece-mh100?adept-product=mens-mountain-hiking-fleece-mh100&adept_product_id=mens-mountain-hiking-fleece-mh100&source=search:
Jul 30, 2019 at 1:26 am #3604027Thank you folks but still needs to be XXL and full zip.
Aug 4, 2019 at 1:33 am #3604761Wow. the Decathlons look line good quality at an incredible price – particularly for a San Fran based company, which tend to charge an arm and a leg. I have the Dead Bird Delta LT, got it at some deep discount price but was still 50-ish. Now what else to buy to get free shipping… Paying $10 shipping on $12 item just makes no sense :-)
Thank you folks but still needs to be XXL and full zip.
Decathlon has plenty of options for you at truly amazing prices. https://www.decathlon.com/collections/hiking-mens-softshells-fleeces
If the quality is half decent these are the bargains of the century, for example
